Welcome to Highest Quest blog, dedicated to sharing understanding, advises, and experiences about spirituality and spiritual development, that came when practicing the teachings of Samael Aun Weor and of other advanced teachers of his lineage, which in their nature are of Gnostic origin.
The main purpose of this blog is to help all those who wish to ascend spiritually in a deep way, by showing them the path of initiations that leads towards complete awakening, and by making them know what is necessary to do in order to ascend in such a deep way. This blog is also envisioned as a platform where people interested in spirituality could share their own experiences and in that way contribute to the overall understanding of the ‘things of the spirit’.
The main thing offered here is The Spiritual Ascension course, but also some spiritual workshops and various articles.
Even though not all of the topics in the articles I write are of the Gnostic tradition, the core purpose and topics of this blog surely are. Specifically, I’m referring to the techniques such as the three keys, self-knowledge, specific meditations for investigating the nature of consciousness and of reality, etc. Here I write about these core techniques, but also about other ones that provide an insight and knowledge into non-physical side of life, of that which happens beyond ‘the cave’. These secondary practices (such as astral projection, higher faculties utilization, meditation etc.) often time can give us needed motivation and strength to do the primary ones (the three keys to awakening, the self knowledge etc.). Besides that, I also write about general spiritual topics that are useful, such as protection, spiritual inspiration (books, texts, poetry), and so on.
The esoteric teachings are universal. They are part of the sacred texts of the ancients, of civilizations that existed that were very spiritual in nature, as their lives were dedicated to reaching perfection through union with their Being. The esoteric teachings can be found in the religions of Egypt, of the Mayas and the Incas, in Taoism, the Tibetan Buddhism, the Vedas, among the Summerians and ancient Nordic people, etc. They are also encoded in music, art and poetry, for those who can see or feel them.
This secret teachings survived the times of suppresion and the violence of the Reformation period, and were brought back to Europe by orders such as the Knight Templars. The teachings were pillars and foundations of secret mystery schools of the Hermetic Order, Rosicrucianism, and the Freemasonry. Some of the people who taught it in later years were Helena Blavatsky, Eliphas Levi, G.I. Gurdjieff, Samael Aun Weor, etc.
It was Samael Aun Weor, however, to be the first one who unveiled the teachings, giving profound depth to them and making them practical and accessible to all those who were ready to receive them.
The core of these teachings is a practical application of the Three Factors in order to purge internally of all that is coarse and heavy, and to create the spiritual bodies necessary for the re-integration with ones own Monad (Higher Self).
I consider important all topics I wrote about thus far (some more than others), but some of those that stand out more than others in terms of spiritual development are:
– A course in Spiritual Ascension
– Awareness of the present moment (mindfulness)
– Self-observation (spotting various egos in different centres in the body)
– Elimination of egos/ increasing consciousness ( the first key for awakening)
– Alchemy/White Tantra (the second key for awakening)
– Helping others spiritually (the third key for awakening)
