The spiritual work truly starts when we start waking up our consciousness from the psychological sleep of constant thoughts and emotions that are creating an obstacle for our true nature, the essence or consciousness (also known as Buddhata), to shine through. That’s the first step of the inner work and it requires some effort in order for us to realize that it is who we are, and then to strengthen it with practices such as meditation, concentration, awareness, mantras etc. In this three-part online workshop program we will cover some of the most important methods for awakening consciousness.
Experiences out of the body, regardless if they happen via the route of astral projection or through lucid dreaming, have been happening to people for thousands of years. We all leave our bodies every night when we sleep and we return back with experiences that we call “dreams”. However, it is possible to be consious of the process of leaving our bodies, and to start having conscious out of body experiences. By doing this, we use our potential to explore higher realms of our Universe. In this way we can explore the 4th and the 5th dimension, also known as the Etheric, the Astral, and the Mental planes of existence.
The chakras or energy vortexes are spiritual centers through which we are nourished with higher energies. Through them, we can have access to non-physical perception such as telepathy, intuition and clairvoyance, gain access to conscious out-of-body experiences, and also experience heightened states in everyday life. In this Saturday exercise, we will activate our chakras with mantras and visualization.
In the next two online Saturday meetings (Feb 19th and 26th), we will practice the mindfulness meditation. This particular practice is a great way to expand awareness of what our external senses can perceive of the external world, but also what our sense of self-observation can perceive inwardly. It is a grounding practice that enables us to be centered in the consciousness and to remind us of the importance of coming back to the basics of the inner work.
In this coming Saturday, we will do a practice of visualization, in which we will focus on a candle in order to visualize it in details. In this we improve our concentration but also learn how to visualize things that are around us in the external world. Because of this focus on details, this practice helps us to develop our visualization to a greater degree, and if we already have it develop, to sharpen it even more.
After using the element of fire, this coming Saturday we will use the element of water as a visualization practice, in which we will focus on glass of water in order to visualize it in details. With this we improve our concentration but also learn how to visualize things that are around us in the external world. Because of this focus on details, this practice helps us to develop our visualization to a greater degree, and if we already have it developed, to sharpen it even more.
For the next few weeks, we will be meditating for peace in the world. In order to do this well, we can aim to maintain as peaceful inner state throughout the day as possible. In this particular guided meditation, we will go into a deeper state of consciousness in order to generate higher states of peace and compassion, so that these higher energies can then be transmitted to anyone in the world who needs it and wants it.
The exercise of retrospection is an important practice of the psychological aspect of the Gnostic teachings. It comprises looking back over a period of time, such as a day or a week, in order to study our behaviors, reactions, and how we did in general. A great thing about this exercise is that it allows to go over life’s situation in a detached way, with consciousness awake, and thus learn from the situations of life that we might have missed due to being identified with them. This is another way through which we can study our egos in order to gradually eliminate them and thus extract the trapped consciousness from them.
“If the mind is concentrated, we do not hear sounds, we do not see anything ; all our senses are in abeyance. External sounds, external vision, all external sense perceptions, therefore, can be overcome by concentration; and intensity of concentration leads to meditation.”
The main activity offered on this website is a 13-week Course on Spiritual Ascension. This course is based on the teachings of Samael Aun Weor – the person who revealed the Path to Liberation, and what is necessary to walk upon it. This course is also expanding upon some things relating to the path. It is essential that all those who are ready, learn how to walk upon this path, and the structure of this course and guidance given therein will allow for this to occur.
The Esoteric Journey and Building the Force Within is a Gnostic course that is structured to support all sincere aspirants who have completed the Spiritual Ascension course and want to continue further in their Gnostic studies. On this course the emphasis is on exploration of various esoteric themes and trying to get a deep understanding and knowledge of those by applying the various techniques as taught in Gnosis.
