Books

Books in this section of the website are divided in three different categories:

  1. Books relating to direct spiritual development
  2. General esoteric books
  3.  Sacred texts

The first category is about things that are directly related to the path of ascension. Books in this category are mostly of Samael Aun Weor.

The second one is a collection of various esoteric and spiritual books that are inspiring and have insights that can be complementary to the books of Samael Aun Weor. If you look for an inspiration and additional insights, then these books may be of help, though it is important to emphasise that they do not teach about how to walk on the path of ascension.

And the third category is a collection of spiritual texts from antiquity and some from less distant past. These are gems of wisdom left us by spiritual masters and/or their disciples. These too can be of tremendous help for our spiritual journey, providing us with insight and inspiration.

Books About the Path of Ascension and Spiritual Development

In this section are books of Samael Aun Weor, and at the end of the section are a few texts of Vishnu. Samael is the person who founded the modern Gnostic Movement, and has left us with the wealth of information for doing the inner work. Beside writing over 60 books on the subject of esotericism, cosmogony, alchemy, psychology etc., one of his biggest legacy is that he made a map of the Path to Liberation, and all that that entails.

Here is a collection of his most important teachings,  written when he was in advance stages of the spiritual path. If you are new to this teachings, it might be beneficial to first read this short guide before starting to read Samael’s books.

The Three Mountains

This book is written in an auto-biographical style, following the stages of the path that master Samael had to go through.  The term “three mountains” refer to the path to liberation. Each of these ‘mountain’ is one large stage of the spiritual path. This book is like a map for whoever wishes to walk upon this path.

The Pistis Sophia is an early Christian text, dating to 2nd century or even earlier. The text starts by explaining that, after he resurrected, Jesus spent 11 years with his apostles, teaching them about certain mysteries; deep and profound things relating to secret side of life, about the Pistis Sophia, heavenly realities and much more. This book contains commentaries by Samael Aun Weor, in which he explains how much this book refers to spiritual development.

As this is the last of master Samael’s ‘projects’, it is quite advanced, and recommended to be read after some other things about the path and spiritual advancement are understood first.
